Question type: General

My Jeep has an electrical plug coming out of the
motor but it’s not plugged in. Can anyone tell me
what’s it’s used for?

That is the block heater plug. When it is plugged in the unit at the engine keeps the engine warm. This aids in starting the vehicle in cold weather. I wouldn't use it unless the temperature is going to be below 10F.

It's to heat your radiator should the temperature drop beyond normal winter conditions. Keeps it from cracking
