My Dodge Journey SXT fuel gauge goes to half and stays there all the time

It could be a bad sending unit in the tank. Float may be stuck or the variable voltage is not responding to the level of the float. Check the connections at the sending unit also.

Mine does the same thing. I have a 2010 Dodge Journey R/T and it's doing the exact same thing as Cobo. Dealer I bought it from a week wont fix it, even though I let them know 3 days after we purchased it.

I have the same problem on a 2009 Dodge Journey. It always shows 1/2 tank. Before delving in and checking all the generic things, does anyone have a fix for this car? There must be something typical for this model. Anyone else out there have this problem? Were you able to fix it and can you tell us what it was that failed?
