Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Iddle is ok. No back fire, no rattling. Just no
power goong up hill and can get over
100km/hrs. Rpm no more than 3700.

Can anyone help finding a solution. Already

That sounds like a bad cat converter, but that should throw a code. Can you get the RPM's over 3700 while in Neutral? Or just under load?

That was my first bet because there was a P0420 code on. Since the manifold was crack I change it and that was seems to be trigering the code. I also unpluged the cat and ot did not make a difference on the power loss. Code is not back since manifold is new.

I was reading a forum the other day on faulty throttle bodies. One person said they found that if you notice a loss of power like that, to shift into neutral, stomp on the gas, and bring the RPM up to around 4000. Then let the car idle down, shift back into drive and see if you have full power back. If so, it's a bad throttle body. Post back with your results when you try it.

Also same thing happened to me on a truck before I blue my engine was having not enough power to back up on a hill
