The old lifts were starting to leak,but they worked fine Desided to replace them anyway because it's my wifes car and she is 70yrs old Put new sachs struts on hatch it slammed shut.took them off and temporarely reintalled old ones so she could use the car while i returned the new ones.Now the old ones don,t work Confused
Maybe the lifts were bad out of the box. Take them back.
