are the insurance rates sky high on 2010 cadillac cts, double than a mercedes c320?

just got quoted for car insurance on a cadillac cts.  Twice the amount than I paid for the insurance on a mercedes c320...good driver, no accidents, great credit  Allstate oinsurance
Can anyone explain this?

both cars are very expensive to repair, however the cadillac should not be double the mercedes. at most they should be roughly equal

The Cadillac should have a slightly lower insurance rate (about $200 less per year) than the MB C320.
