The vehicle has been under water or extremely saturated with water in the engine compartment or interior or even both. Be cautious when purchasing a vehicle with flood damage, and keep in mind that vehicle is worth considerable less than a normal vehicle.

This is a vehicle that, as others have said, has had considerable water damage. It is also a vehicle that the previous owner filed an insurance claim on and the vehicle was most likely deemed a total loss. In other words it would cost more to fix it than it was worth at the time it got flooded. With the amount of electronics in modern vehicles, flood victims are best avoided. Especially if it was flooded with salt water! Water causes electronic components to rust and corrode causing a never ending battle with electrical problems. Not to mention the hidden mold and mildew that can never be completely gotten rid of!! HTH. -Jim
