Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car was working fine the day before. Then today when i started it up and start to
drive i felt a little lag. I check if i had a flat tire no. Then i continue to drive it was fine
than when i stopped at a stop light. Then proceed to continue to drive  then the car
went into neutral while i still had shift in drive. Then  I turned off the car then turned off
the car for 10 minutes then back on shift it to drive and it drove for about 30 seconds
and the again it went into neutral. I checked the transmission fluid and add more until it
was full and yet it does the same. Why? Please can you help me out i am in dire
need!!!

is the shifter physically going into neutral? or just wont grab when in gear. It sounds like your trans has gone out

starts out normal,,, then just goes to no gear at all,,,,, both any forward gear or reverse,,,, i can turn the key off and it will go for a few seconds again,,,,,,,,,,, just putting it in neutral wont do it,,, i have to actually turn the key off and restart the engine,,,,i actually limped it home like this
