Heater blows cold air when stopped or ideling

I own a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO and am having problems with the heater. When the car is sitting still, it blows cold air but as long as you are traveling it blows warm. If you stop at a red light or stop for any reason, it will begin blowing cold air again. Have had it back to the dealer and they can not figure it out.

If the dealer can't figure it out... The cold air is because there is not enough water flowing through the heater core. The car is too new to have a worn pump but it could be a slipping belt. I'm sure that the temperature is normal & thermostat checked and all the usual causes in a older car.

If you have 2010 taurus 3.5 your water pump is chain driven off the timming chain not belt driven

I have a 2009 Ford Taurus and as of today my car is doing the exact same thing I'll be driving down the road heater blows hot as you can get it as soon as I stopped at a red light does Cole
I had my water pump, timing chain and tensioners done to get heat working at idle again. 2012 ford taurus sho. 3.5 ecoboost traverse

Phillip, if you don’t mind me asking. How much did all that cost you?
How do you fix this? Was it the water pump? Or a certain belt you need to tighten? I have a 2010 Taurus SHO
