Am I safe to drive with the service tire monitor on?

Asked by dlkeel Mar 18, 2018 at 04:21 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ FWD

Question type: General

I have a 2010 Malibu LTZ and would love to ask a question? We have proper
air in all my tires and my tire light comes on but last night it dinged and it stated
service tire monitor, is it nessesary to fix it or what.

As long as the tires have proper air pressure it is safe to drive. As far as fixing it if your state requires a safety/emission testing then it won't pass and will have to be fixed, if you don't have those then go ahead and drive it but the light and the ding can get annoying. I was only able to put up with mine going off for 2 months before I had to fix them, the light just bugged me.
