My 2005 Explorer Limited 4.6 V8 suddenly lost power this afternoon. Why would that happen when it was running perfectly before. Not hot. Plenty of coolant. "Limp home" mode???

While coming home from work, my car suddenly loss power and would only attain 20 mph. It felt as if the engine was not getting any gas. Car was running cool with no loss of coolant showing in overflow tank. Oil was normal level. Not much exhaust pressure coming from pipe??
