Wireless starter.

Asked by Howd0g Mar 02, 2014 at 06:38 PM about the 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring FWD

Question type: General

My owners manual has nothing about this option. I can start the car remotely. However, it only stays running for a very short time and shuts off. Also, when I put key in the ignition it also shuts immediately off, so I still have to the turn the ignition to restart it again. Can anyone help me? randalhowland@sbcglobal.net THANKS.

Did it come this way from the factory, or is this something someone had installed from some random auto start shop? If you are second owner and have no idea who installed the unit, look under the dash on the drivers side left. You should see a black plastic box. See if you can find the manufacturers name on it. If you do, I would try calling to see what shops are in your area that specialize in those types of auto car starters.

I'm sure it came from the factory. But, I'll look under the dash as suggested.
