My 2010 Ford Fusion SEL oil light keeps coming on but only at idle and only after I have drove it for several miles any suggestion?

That's true and I would also check the pressure directly to make sure the oil pressure sensor is sending a true/accurate reading. Old oil thins out. Do fresh oil change with the correct viscosity oil. If the oil cap says 5w/20, I would go to 5w/30 synthetic if it's a high mileage car.
