Need to confirm the amount of oil needed for our BMW X5 30i 2009.

There is some speculation as to how many any engine should take, even within the owners manual. However, I have found that there is a range of oil levels one should follow. If the manual says 8qt = 7.57082 liters.. I would change the oil and add 7.25qt = 6.861059 Liters. Allow the vehicle to sit over night then check the dipstick adding if necessary.
