What to do about a misfire and catalyst converter?

I went to Napa Center to get my blinking check
engine checkers to see what's wrong. Two codes
showed up PS300 and a 420. The mechanic said
that there is a misfire which I knew already. I want
to replace all four of my ignition coils but he also
told keep to try a tune up as well. I guess I'm
wondering what part of the tune up process
should I get fixed right now and the rest later so I
can get m car back on the road driving normally?

Replace the spark plugs and replace the coils if they are bad. You want to fix the misfire before you spend big money on replacing the cats.

As FOR said. Most likely the catalytic converter was ruined by the misfiring. Hope that helps! Jim
