2009 F150 Blower Fan Does Not Work

A few weeks back my cabin blower fan was making a ticking sound when the
vehicle was first started. This week there is no longer air flow from the vents
after a minute or so. When the vehicle first starts the fan works fine. After
about a minute the fan speed decreases until the fan just makes a low
clicking sound coming from the area below the glove box. If you let it sit on
high after it quits it will try and go again after a few minutes but doesn't get
going for more than a split second. If you shut off the heater and wait for a
couple of minutes and turn it on again it will work for about 10 seconds and
then the speed drops until it is just the clicking sound. I replaced the resistor
but it still does the same thing. Do you think it could be the blower fan that
should be replaced. thank you for any suggestions.

The bad blower motor causes strain on the resistor, usually replace both at the same time when issues show.
