The door switches are integral to the latch - in other words, they're a cruddy design that works directly off of the catch in the door. they point down and collect dirt easily - even faster if dome well-meaning individual lubricates the latch. It's a PITA but not to difficult to replace them. If you know where to go and can see with your fingers like so many of us technicians can...pull the door trim panel and reach back to the bottom of the door latch (which one? I don't know) Attached to the bottom of the latch - all the way against the door is a small cylinder with a wire, You can disconnect the wire and do without dome lights or key buzzer at all or, Remove the three Phillips screws holding the latch in place and disconnect all of the actuator rods and cables (if equipped) and change out the switch, OR just loosen the Phillips screws on the latch and fight the replacement of the switch blindly. I can do a door switch in no time because I've done many and learned how to flat-rate them (shortcuts). The switch is removed by a 1/4 counter clockwise turn while pressing it toward the latch. Not too bad if you can see with your fingers. Take the latch out if you can't. You will, however, scratch up your arm.
I've been a Ford person for over forty years. And contrary to their commerical, when the change something, they always do not have a better idea. This may be an easier fix, it works for me over fifty percent of the time. Remove the door panel as stated above. Take your grass blower and blow out all the crud which accumulates inside. Locate the locking mechansm as stated above, expecially the electrical connection and mechanical actuator. Take a can of electrical contact cleaner and spray the area. Wait a while and spray it again. With the door panel off, close the door and see if the light goes off. If it does, great. If it doesn't, you've only invested a couple of minutes and two ounces of contact cleaner. Proceed as indicated above.

Was just riding in my brother in laws 2013 f150 and his dome lights would not go out. We tried everything from opening to closing doors repeatedly. Checked all switches. Finally got pissed and threw it in park and shut the truck off. Started it back up and bam...dome lights turned off. You're welcome.
