Why did I get the letters PS on my driving screen? Nothing in my book gives me the answer. Thanks.

Asked by Barb Apr 25, 2015 at 12:10 PM about the 2009 MINI Cooper Base

Question type: General

Today, as I drove this morning, the letters PS appeared on the screen in front of me.

The book gave me no answer.  I need to know what the PS meant.  I didn't again appear
when I drove home.

Thanx.

Power Steering: The letters “PS” let you know that electric power steering is operational. If you notice the light with the engine running, you should have the power steering system checked.

Hi Kelly, Thank you so much for this answer. After I posted my question, it occurred to me it must be the power steering. I Was on my way to work when it happened and it upset me a bit preventing me from thinking clearly. I'm calling my mechanic Monday. Again, thank you. You are so kind. Barb
