Honda CRV Power Steering

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car hums when I make a turn.  Mechanic told me I had a leak in the power
steering hose.  I asked him to write that up with estimate and he wrote that the
problem was the Power Steering Pump, R&R but didn't write down the price.  
He told me it would be $795 to replace the hose, the hose alone was $650
plus labor.  But those amounts did not appear on the sheet he gave me.  Is
what he's saying make sense?
