after changing my battery my remote control will not lock or unlock my 2009 silverado how can i get thisnto work?

Its possible when you changes the battery you put it in incorrectly. Also, I'd check the 'contact points' on the FOB. Sometimes if you take the battery out too aggressively you end up bending the metal tabs that touch the battery to complete the electrical connection. If it's loose or broken, that would explain why its not working. also, try another battery in case the one you put in was faulty.
