Brake lights stay on

Asked by Wdobbins21 Dec 04, 2017 at 10:04 AM about the 2009 Subaru Tribeca Limited 7-Passenger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Subaru Tribeca, The brake lights are stuck in
the on position. The car would start one day I thought it
was a fuel pump so had it towed. The following day the car
started but it was flooded with 99K he recommended spark
plugs. The car is equipped with a aftermarket starter. When
I got it back the starter did not work and the brake lights
work in the on position. After changing the brake switch
and a control switch it still did not fix it.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Perhaps the brake light switch is stuck on which caused the battery to run down.

Is the top of the column switch on? It’d be red if on. These are parking lights
