2005 ford escape xl transmission

On acceleration the vehicle has a
humming sound. Been going on for a
month getting louder the faster I go.
One mechanic who does not repair
Transmissions put it on the rack and
suspected the noise is coming from the
transmission

My car is doing this too. This is a classic symptom of a bad wheel bearing. Gets louder as you go faster. Also will be louder and less loud when wheel is turned left or right if the bad bearing is in the front as opposed to the back.
