2002 Altima 2.5L concern vehicle smells like gas fumes in vehicle outside vehicle and first start cold long crank eventually starts; No obvious leak in engine area or under car. Fix removed rear seat and fuel pump access cover found a hairline crack on my pump assembly where it connects to pressure line leaking on my pump and gas tank. Unhooked pressure line and pump assembly retainer and replace fuel pump assembly reinstalled in reverse and cycled key to build up pressure in fuel rail. Started vehicle no leaks cleaned tank and seat area in car road test with windows down gas smell went away, plus fixed that long hard starting issue now that rail can hold pressure over night with out leaking out on tank.
