Anti-Theft Light Flashing While Driving

I recently took my 2009 Dodge
Avenger SXT in for a new alternator
and battery. I left with the red circle
warning light flashing while I drove
home (located in the center of the
speedometer, right below the 60 MPH
mark). My car works perfectly fine
and the key works as well, but I’m not
sure how to reset this and don’t want
to trip the actual anti-theft system.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I
don’t want to go back to this
particular shop.  (Low fuel light and
fire pressure is on, but have taken
care of those.)

For many models, a flashing anti theft light while driving is just to tell you there is a problem with the system, but not one that would result in immobilizing the vehicle (in other words, it doesn't think the car is being stolen). You would have to have the system scanned by a factory code scanner.
