2009 Ford Taurus Limited wont start

My husband and I replaced a water pump on our 2009 ford Taurus limited now it will not start. you turn the key and nothing thought you can hear power to everything including the starter. We have replaced the battery, starter, and ignition still the same results. However my husband can take a screwdriver and try to start it from the starter and motor will just try to crank but does not turn over.

I know this may seem odd but it may have water in the cylinders. That particular design when it fails will dump water into the oil pan. Depending on if or how much the car overheated prior to the water pump failure you may have a gasket related issue as well. Hopefully not. What I would do is take out a few spark plugs and have a look inside the chambers for water in there. For now I would have a look at the front side since the intake manifold has to come off as you probably already know for the back ones. Anyway hope that helps at least a bit. That is a daunting job to undertake. Good Luck!
