2009 Hyundai Santa Fe won't start.

you said it starts when you jump it. when you jump it are the jumper cables hooked to the battery cables or is there a separate point of contact for jump starting? if there is a separate point away from the battery where you jump it from most likely you have a broken or corroded battery cable but if you jump it while connected to the battery cable where it meets the battery its gonna be a loose or very weak contact with the cables and the battery maybe even some corrosion, which could cleaned up by taking the cables off the battery and cleaning both sides properly then putting them back together

Thank you for the response. It was the starter. Replaced the starter and it's been fine so far.

I have a 2009 Santa Fe too, and this has been happening for the past year. I've tested the battery, cleaned the "corroded" terminals, they tested the alternator. The mechanics don't know why this is happening. I don't know what else to do either. I have to jump it every other day. When I put the key in the lights come on, dashboard lights are fine, and then I turn the key, and nothing. Every other time, it clicks. I jump the car from the battery, and it works. I guess I can replace the starter-- but any other options? I'm all ears!
