I have a 2009 Tucson with 38,000 miles and was told i need a timing belt, everything I read tells me I have a little more time, ismthis correct?

Timing belt at 38k miles? That's a bit pre-mature. I'd have the rest of the engine looked over at wherever you get it repaired to inspect other critical components for early wear
