Slow Starting Off

Asked by Hoppy261 Aug 13, 2016 at 10:19 AM about the 2009 Ford Focus SES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 09 Ford Focus 2.0 L 4 cyl. Almost
everytime i come to a complete stop and then start
to accelerate the car doesnt want to move for like 3
seconds, then it feels like it jerks and then starts
going just fine. All i have is a k&n performance air
intaoe and a performance racing exhaust to
increase air flow. Does anyone know what the
problem might be?

Check the timing with s timing light if the timing did not jump then give the car a complete tune up during the tune up check all the hoses, vacum lines, and so on also check on all the motor mounts.
