I have a 2009 Saturn Vue Hybrid. When the traction control light comes on and there is a message to service the stabilator, it affects the transmission in that the downshift is rough. The traction control message comes on it seems without cause. Could the problem be the computer? Thanks

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The message will be to service the traction control and stabilator. When this happens the
transmission is affected i.e. hard downshift, shifting too soon it seems. At times the
service the Hybrid system will come on. I thought it may be the computer. What do you
think? thanks

Really tough to say, I'd take it to a Auto Parts store to get the computer scanned for free to see what codes come up. Then google the codes. Oreilly auto will do this, you could call a store close to you to see if they do this for free.

I have a 2008 Saturn vue green line hybrid. My car does the same thing. I replaced the camshaft performance sensor and it fixed it for like two weeks. And it is happening again. I was also told to check the intake manifold for the oil
