Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2009 G6GT is one that does have a pump for my power steering.
Yesterday it blew out a hose that had been replaced incorrectly last week
by a repair shop. I was backing into a parking space when it blew, so I
would like to know what the chances are that it caused any damage to the
pump. NO warning.Just dropped fluid all over parking space and no longer
had power steering. Any Ideas?

no, as soon as I heard that hideous "scream" from the pump and the smoke, I shut the car off, and got out to look. Tried to start it long enough to finish backing in to the space, fortunately i was pretty well in, and had to manhandle it a little. Will be towed into a shop today.
