Car Sputtering & sometimes Jerking

Asked by Cheyanne May 05, 2018 at 05:39 PM about the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has been sputtering or jerking when
accelerating while going uphill sometimes. I have
replaced my fuel filter, air filter, and transmission
filter. Also spark plugs and wires. Anything else I
should do? It still won't run like it used to.

Scan it for trouble codes and see what comes up. Could possibly be a fuel filter although that seems a bit unlikely. I just replaced the throttle body on my SS for similar symptoms mostly at low speeds though. Just a thought, and prepare yourself, its not a cheap part, but the car isn't going to heal itself.
