how do i fix volume control "on console and steering wheel do not work"

Asked by Turry1287 Feb 04, 2014 at 04:03 PM about the 2009 Lexus RX 350 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the owner crossed terminals with jumper cables and blew both 100 and 140 amp fuses along with a few minor fuses. After replacing all fuse and resetting the throttle control we had a few minor things inside to reset. it didn't take to realize that the radio face would come on but no volume adjustment from either control. Is this issue repairable or due to the fact that he crossed terminals did they fry the unit

Pull the radio out and see if there is a fuse on the back. If not the radio is toast.
