Pull one from a wrecked or salvaged Aveo (COMPLETE with the wiring harness to avoid electrical issues) and replace. It shouldn't cost more than $25 bucks, just call around to some local junk/salvage yards or check eBay/Amazon! Best of luck!

Once you've pulled one out of a salvaged or wrecked one, you'll see the process to replace it in your car. Its why I started pulling parts from the yards. Removing the replacement part taught me how to replace the faulty part :) Best of luck!

Nobody has said anything about their model year, but mine is a 2010 & the clock was regularly resetting to 1:00 which was just annoying. I removed the clock bezel which lifts off easily & removed the 2 screws holding the clock, then gently pulled up on the wiring harness to gain enough clearance to unplug the clock. With it out, I unsnapped the casing to observe the soldering, all of which looked good, so I put it all back together & in the car. Works fine now! Maybe it was just a bad connection.
