If it won't come out in the position for the key to come out the key cylinder needs replaced. DO NOT try to take it out anymore. Once it comes out you may not get it back in to start and the key has to be in the on position to change the cylinder.

This is a column ignition switch. Does the car start? If you can't start the car and the wheels were turned sharply to the right when the car was shut off, try turning the steering wheel a little more to the right and see if you can: a) start the car and b): if you can, return the steering wheel to a central position and remove the key.
