Car wont shift out of drive, all light turned on while driving, any suggestions?

I was having problems shifting my car from park to drive, eventually I drove it and it got stuck in drive it wont shift out of drive and when that happened all the lights on the dashboard lit up any suggestions ? PS the car died it drove 10 miles an hour for about 15 miles and then died.

I had that problem, would not sift. I did not have the light issue. Repaired under warranty. Dealer replaced shifter, solved the problem.
