My 2009 Hyundai Sonata has 18,000 miles & the "ESC OFF" lite just went on today...what does that mean?

That is your electronic stability control system light, if it stays and you can't change it with the switch on your dash that indicates a fault in the system. Have a friend check and see if your brake lights work, usually this is caused by a faulty brake pedal switch. This component is covered for 5 years/60,000 miles.

Thanks a bunch. I did try the switch on the dash with no result. Next I will do as you instructed and if nothing else works I will take it to my dealer. I appreciate your advise.
