i have a 08 kia sportage with 3 belts can i remove the one for the a/c till i can get the a/c fixed

If you have separate belts for each accessory yes you can remove A.C belt and still drive vehicle. Does the belt only go around A.C compressor ?

it looks like it i know there's a separate one for the power steering and a separate one for alternator

Yes you can take the air conditioner belt off and still be able to drive it, with no problem's...

Just make sure that you don't leave the idler pully loose, it will eventually fall off, lol
