O8 Arcadia uses oil

Question type: General

Have a 2008 GMC Arcadia with the 3.6 engine I
change oil every 3000-5000 miles and use a full
synthetic oil it has started using oil!!!  I hear that by
just changing the type of oil you use you can
eliminate the problem??? Any thoughts on this
would be greatly appreciated the vehicle has
roughly 130,000 miles on it!!

How much does it use? Using a heavier grade oil can slow down oil consumption.
