Nothing happens when I push my Gas Pedal

Asked by Krissy_Krone Aug 08, 2016 at 11:38 PM about the 2009 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had to jump start my car because I left my head
lights on. When I put my car in Drive and I push the
pedal nothing happens but my car goes in gear
even when I put it in reverse. I have a 2009 Camry
and I've never have had any issues with my car
before this. Can anyone please tell what this could
be? Thank you in advance

I had to replace the throttle body. It is complete but I need to preform an "idle speed relearn". Do you know how to complete this? I have gotten my RPM up to 3000 at its highest. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. -Kristin

Thank you so much @firebird3383, the ETCS fuse worked for me, but how did it get blow. I jump my car with a cheap ass cable and melted and welded together and sparked a little before I realised or was it when I connected the negative terminal first then the positive terminal and it sparked to. When could it have happened?

What I was told happened to my car when someone jumped my car is; they had the cables backwards. I ended up having to replace my whole computer system or motherboard. (Can’t really remember) It cost me around $1700 at Toyota with labor.
