2008 tundra brakes spongy

Asked by msshevlin Dec 06, 2016 at 11:43 AM about the 2008 Toyota Tundra Base Double Cab 5.7L 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On my 08 tundra 4X4 dbl cab, the brake
pedal will slowly go to the floor when at a
stoplight. Feels like the old days when you
had to pump the brakes. My first thought is
the master break cyl but a private shop
says it might be in the ABS system (pump).
Toyota tech says it's the nature of the
beast. Any others experiencing this?

Toyota claims that a brake pedal that slowly goes to the floor is normal? That sounds like total BS. Have them give you a copy of the technical bulletin for that issue and let us know about it.
