toyota tundra hood release cable

My hood release cable broke at the hood latch. i cut off a piece of the grill and
cut out the plastic shroud that covers the latch. I can get a hand in there...how
do I manually release the latch

I'm answering my own question here. The fix probably doesn't need to remove a hunk of the grill like I did. I found someone online that drilled a 5/16" hole on a Highlander to get at the latch. I've attached a photo of the place to drill. It's the bottom left hole...took me 4 holes to get it right. The metal drilled very easy. Then use a thin screwdriver to engage the cable pull attachment spot.Hood pops right open!!! I think you might be able to drill the hole right through the grill. I cut out a spot to fit my hand in...don't need to get hand in to do the job.
