I have a 2008 Range Rover westminster for which I paid $104k. It has 85K miles on it and I have had very good luck with it in terms of repaIRS BEING LIMITED TO WEAR AND TEAR.

I am told that there is a transmission leak and I need new set of breaks. Together about $3k worth of work. Should I keep the car or is it a good time to sell?

$3k in repairs on a $104k car and you want to dump it? Brakes are normal maintenance and if all that has happened is a trans leak then I would fix it. If everything else is going to hell like Land Rovers tend to do then maybe fix it and then sell it.
