Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Nissan Altima with 191K - At 40 Mph it starts vibrating very
loudly, then once i get to 70 Mph it starts to go down in volume. When I turn my
steering wheel to the right - the vibration goes down, but when I turn to the left it
gets louder?  What is this ?

Had this problem before. Sounds like it could be an inner or outer tire rod. If you are driving slow and your steering wheel needs like a quarter turn before the wheel moves, that's defunetly it. I had this problem and if you are fixing one side, get the other done as well if you can afford it. It will greatly improve your steering as well. Otherwise.....probably a wheel bearing. Check your tires for uneveven wear. If one is more smoked than the other....that's you issue.
