Fuel pump module is in the gas tank. The term is for the pump/sender and hanger for the pump. It sounds confusing to call it a module as if it is a computer component but it is simply the assembly you remove from the fuel tank when replacing the fuel pump.

Cassandra dear you can google fuel pump control module for 08 Silverado and then it will pull up a lot of Dealer’s and businesses but you will be looking for a ad that will say fuel module flash and they will offer to sale the fuel pump control module all ready flashed and what that means is you will not have to take the module to the dealership to get it programmed to your truck. That’s the flash they are talking about they program the module and send it to you fast and all you have to do is find the place online you will find it when put the trouble with the truck and you will need to send them the vin number on your truck so they can program the module. I will tell you now that you are going to pay the price of the module you will pay about any place but you will save your program from the dealership and you know that they are high hope it helps you

The fuel pump control module IS NOT in the fuel tank. This component is a separate unit that monitors voltage going to the pump, and when it senses anything out of preset parameters, it illuminates the MIL in the instrument cluster. Most are located on the frame rail near the spare tire. Another fine location to mount electronics compliments of GM.
