I have a 2008 Dakota with a 3.7 ltr v6. It runs a hotter than it should the fan is halfway out of the shroud. Should I use an extension or go all electric

These tricks also come with a v8 and
use the same platform so a b8 would
stick out further forward

that would not be it i think, change thermostat, measuer temperture to rule out falty guage, belts and fan clutch
