2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 detailed remove/install instructions for HID and 9005 headlight bulbs

Asked by Guru199RT Aug 18, 2019 at 02:07 PM about the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. The headlights are peculiar (the
design was changed the next year) and extremely difficult for the average
car owner to remove and reinstall themselves. The owners manual suggests
taking it to the dealer as the whole front of the car has to be removed in
order to change the HID (low beam) and 9005 (high beam) bulbs and a cost
of over $1000.00.
I have read that there is a way to accomplish the bulb removal and
replacement from the inside the engine compatment but I cannot find any
usable detailed information on
how to do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

U can change the HID headlight bulbs by removing the plastic piece under the front finder wells and go in there that way.
