Why haven't the older model Ford Rangers prices dropped since there is a newer model Ford Ranger for 2019?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Why haven't the prices of older model Ford Rangers dropped since the new 2019 Ford Ranger came out? The older Ford Rangers are way overpriced and appear to cost more than newer model vehicles that have all the new "toys" and options. It makes no sense that a 2011 Ford Edge SEL SUV & a 2012 Ford Escape Limited SUV now cost less than 2008 or later Ford Rangers whose only options are electric windows & 4WD.

The older Rangers are real trucks unlike the pseudo Ranger sold today. Lots of people want a good, small truck. In my opinion Ford missed the mark.
