air pressure sensor problem..

I have air pressure sensors, that I have taken out off my stock rims.. i then found out the bands are 80$ EACH! Is there any way I can put them in anything and pressurize it & just put them somewhere? I don't care if they are in the rims or not i just want the light on the dash to go away. That code trips my engine code. Any help would be great..

The sensors do not guage tire pressure. The guage revolutions of the wheel with a sensor on the hub. A tire which is low on pressure turns less frequently that one at full pressure. When the sensor does not pick up the revolutions it sends the signal to illuminate the light on the dash. On my 2010 F-150 it does not kick in until 20 miles are driven. When the igntion switch is turned off, my system resets.
OJ, is there any way to turn off the code? I've cleared it once but it just came right back on when I started driving my rig again.
No. The only annoyance you should have is the yellow light on the dash in the form of a tire alit. On the 2010 it only comes on after 20 miles of driving continously then resets when the ignition is turned off. If the light is bothersom place a small piece of colored electrical tape on the instrument panel to cover the light.
