i have a xf 3ltr potfolio and the alloys have started to flake can anyone suggest the best way to repair them
That's probably the clear coat that is coming off. If your handy, You would need to strip the clear coat off with polish the wheels so they are smooth. Then primer, and repaint using a silver paint to match the OEM color using a couple coats and then a couple coats of clear coat. Of course you can find a local wheel shop to do the same, but most times, the cost is similar to picking up new rims.
Thanks for your prompt answer tom but it seems to be the silver alloy colour that is lifting and a dark colour beneath that am assuming that is the metal.any idea were to suggest a professional repair
