Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We changed the alternator  yesterday and replaced
the battery ram good,  but this morning my check
engine came on and after driving it started not
wanting to accelerate.  Got to a stop sign and car
wont move, turned car off and back and I put it to
drive and it went but only to 20mhp not past  that,
I had to stop and turn off and on again to get it
going till I got it home.  Maybe something was
moved while changing alternator? Please help

don't have a code yet. I got it home by turning my car on and off to get it to go and it would only go 20mhp and then stop. I guess I will have to get it towed to a shop , I am trying to see if I can do the work myself maybe a fuse not sure.and yep installed the alternator but now this came up so kind of confused
