2009 toyota corolla s 4 door 1.8L

Hi everyone.  I am hoping that someone here can help me.  
I posted my car for sale on here, no problems with it, had a
ton of interest and then it quit running.  After a ton of
repairs, now it won't let me take the key out.  It stays in the
position where the vehicle isn't running but it is not all off,
like the radio can operate and the windows go up and down
and etc.  It will stay like that until it kills the battery.  After
the battery dies, I can easily take the key out.  Is this some
sort of anti-theft feature I can get disabled or something?
